Audit of official receipts, expenditures, assets, and liabilities as well as the implementation of best practices and state-of-the-art methodologies. The incumbent will be responsible for developing an audit strategy, planning audit operations, and coordinating audit resources.
He/she will have full authority to plan, direct and control all audits performed in conformity with Government auditing standards and other established rules, regulations, and procedures. He/she will also hold responsibilities over data collection and validation along with financial analyses.
Identifying irregularities in expenditure is an important part of his/her function as well as reporting them to higher authorities on a timely basis. Audit officers enjoy both functional independence and operational autonomy while discharging their duties within a strict fiscal discipline framework.

The Federal Government of Pakistan is one of four federal governments in the world. It has three branches: Judicial, Executive, and Legislative. It includes four provinces: Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab.

Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible, candidates need to possess a degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution. Candidates will also have to be members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) or be an Associate Member (AM) with a minimum experience of 5 years.
ICAP/AM card should have been issued within 3 years before applying for AGP jobs in Constitution Avenue Islamabad. Applicants who are only Bachelors’s level holders and do not hold any post-graduate qualification will not be considered.
The applicant must be fluent in English, as all communications and documentation will be in English. If a candidate does not possess adequate communication skills, he/she will not be considered for a position in Constitution Avenue Islamabad. It is imperative that applicants understand and agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies of ASG Constitution Avenue.

The applicants should be Civilian Officers serving in BPS-18 or above the scale of pay in Government Organizations / Semi-Government Autonomous Bodies. Applications can be submitted to any of the Head Office (Islamabad) or Regional Offices across Pakistan by registered post/courier.
No application shall be entertained from other means. The last date for receipt of the application is 03rd August 2018. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview as per merit and other criteria as may be determined by CGA (B&A) Islamabad. Applications received after the due date shall not be entertained under any circumstances whatsoever.
