Job Description
The Computer Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and managing day-to-day operations of computer lab machines such as PCs and printers while being careful to follow standard guidelines to prevent accidents from occurring.
In addition, he or she is also responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily activities carried out by all staff present in computer labs. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills with fluency in the English language and prior experience working with computers. They should also be highly motivated and attentive to details with good organizational skills.
The person should be proactive, hardworking, attentive to details as well as organized. He or she should have good communication skills with fluency in the English language, and prior experience working with computers is preferred.
It is mandatory that one possesses all technical competencies related to computer operation, including a basic understanding of hardware and software. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and should possess strong organizational skills and a high level of professionalism that will go a long way toward helping him or her succeed in their new role.

Qualifications and Requirements
As a computer operator, you must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Applicants should have at least two years of office experience. You will be asked to demonstrate your knowledge of Excel functions and formulas during an interview.
The final interview is scheduled with multiple staff members from different departments, so be prepared to answer questions on general university policy as well as department-specific protocols.
